Each treatment is based on the cleaning of teeth from dental deposits in the form of calculus (scalling) and deposit (by sandblasting).
Such cleaning is also within the prevention of periodontal diseases and should be performed at least once a year. Tartar grows under and above the gums and provides an environment for bacteria to grow. Diseases of the gums, e.g. periodontosis, as well as dental caries can be the result of accumulation thereof.
